Gaza ceasefire ‘exists in name only’, more than 100 NGOs say

More than 100 humanitarian, human rights, and civil society organizations state that the Gaza ceasefire, agreed upon a year ago with U.S. backing, is only on paper. Israeli forces continue to kill and injure Palestinians daily, and restrictions hinder aid, rebuilding, and recovery efforts. Since the ceasefire was announced on October 10, 2025, over 1,400 Palestinians have been killed, including at least 327 children, amid a conflict that has resulted in over 74,000 Palestinian deaths in three years.
