Gboguhé: Gendarmerie Arrests Buyer of Gold from Illegal Gold Panning in Békipréa

On the night of September 10, 2026, members of the Daloa Squadron 1/2 arrested K. Issa, a 29-year-old Burkinabe national, in Békipréa for his involvement in purchasing gold from illegal gold panning. This operation is part of the Ivorian authorities' efforts to combat illegal gold mining. In addition to the arrest, a vehicle and a mobile phone were seized for the investigation.
