General Policy Statement: Ousmane Sonko Rebuffs and Rectifies Al Aminou Lo

The President of the National Assembly, Ousmane Sonko, corrected the approach of Prime Minister Ahmadou Al Aminou Lo regarding the General Policy Statement (DPG) scheduled for September 1. In a statement, Sonko highlighted irregularities in the convening of the extraordinary session and specified that the date of the DPG must be communicated at least eight days in advance, a requirement that the Prime Minister failed to meet. He also reminded that the opening of the session can only occur by decision of the Head of State.
