Ghana: Beautician Jessica Hartog prosecuted in a case of 3.9 tons of cocaine

Jessica Hartog, a 34-year-old beautician, appeared before the High Court in Accra alongside three others in a drug trafficking case involving nearly 3.9 tons of cocaine seized at the port of Dunkirk, France. The shipment, valued at approximately 225 million euros, was declared as transporting plastic waste. All defendants pleaded not guilty and were remanded in custody, with a next appearance scheduled for October 13, 2026.
