Ghana, Cote d'Ivoire Sign Deal to Harmonise Producer Price Policies

Ghana and Cote d'Ivoire signed an agreement in Abidjan on June 16, 2026 to harmonize cocoa producer price policies. Presidents John Dramani Mahama and Alassane Ouattara agreed to ensure fair remuneration for farmers and strengthen scientific cooperation against cocoa diseases. The two countries, accounting for 60% of global cocoa production, aim to process cocoa locally and open the alliance to other African producers.
