Ghana: Pres Mahama Visits Tidal Waves-Hit Fuveme, Blekusu

President John Dramani Mahama assured residents of Fuveme and Blekusu that funds for their sea defense systems were secure. He announced that feasibility studies for the World Bank project, which stalled in 2024, were complete and that work would begin soon. In the meantime, immediate measures such as dredging the estuary will be taken to mitigate the effects of coastal erosion.
