Effective May 25, 2026, Ghana will become a visa-free country for all Africans, as announced by President John Dramani Mahama. This reform aims to boost tourism and intra-African trade, reinforcing Ghana's status as the cradle of Pan-Africanism. However, travelers will still need to complete visa questionnaires and undergo screening processes, although they will no longer have to pay visa fees.
