Gisele Kantu: ICRC helps war victims in need of prosthetics in North Kivu

In the Democratic Republic of Congo, the ICRC assists about 4,000 people each year through its physical rehabilitation program. In North Kivu province, 80% of beneficiaries are victims of armed conflicts. The aid includes providing prostheses and orthoses, as well as manufacturing and monitoring these devices.
