Augustin Kabuya on Joseph Kabila: « He will end up like Savimbi »

Augustin Kabuya, secretary-general of UDPS, strongly reacted to Joseph Kabila's leadership of the Front for the Rebirth of the Nation (FRN) in Goma, warning he could end up like Jonas Savimbi. He criticized Kabila's new political and military direction, viewing it as a challenge to the international community. The formation of the FRN marks a turning point in the ongoing conflict in eastern DRC, with Kabila leading and figures like Corneille Nangaa and Bertrand Bisimwa as vice-presidents. The region remains tense with armed clashes and population displacements in North and South Kivu.
