The ordeal of Commander I. Diouf, assaulted by a street vendor in his police station

On September 9, 2026, T. Mballo, a street vendor from Kolda, assaulted Commander I. Diouf at the Central Police Station in Mbour. Upset with the delays in processing his case, he filmed the police premises while shouting insults, before headbutting the commander violently. Diouf sustained head injuries and received a medical certificate indicating a temporary work incapacity of five days.
