Gombe By-Election: Police announce security measures

The Gombe State Police Command has announced security measures for the by-election scheduled for September 19, 2026, in the Gombe, Kwami, and Funakaye constituencies. Commissioner of Police, CP Umar Ahmed Chuso, directed the deployment of personnel to INEC offices, polling units, and collation centers. A restriction on vehicular movement and closure of commercial activities in the three LGAs will be enforced from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm, except for essential services.
