Gombe pledges support for new army formations

Gombe State Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya pledged the state government's support for the swift establishment of new Nigerian Army formations. He expressed appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for approving the establishment of the 271 Tank Battalion in Bajoga and the 272 Tank Battalion in Kaltungo, which will enhance security in the North-East. The representative of the GOC, 3rd Armoured Division, also noted that these formations are part of the Nigerian Army's expansion from eight to twelve divisions.
