Gov Eno asked to establish Akwa Ibom Council of State, people's assembly

The advocacy group Open Forum has urged Governor Umo Eno to institutionalize the Ibom People’s Assembly and the Akwa Ibom Council of State. Convener Citizen Mathew Okono suggested that the council could include the current governor, former governors, military administrators, as well as former chief judges and Speakers of the Assembly. The Ibom People’s Assembly aims to unify Akwa Ibom people and promote shared values while addressing current socio-cultural issues.
