Gov Mohammed suspends issuance of business ID cards in Bauchi

Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State has approved the immediate suspension of the production and issuance of Unified Business Identification Cards. This decision follows reports that individuals were allegedly producing fake ID cards to extort money from traders. Investigations revealed that these fraudsters were collecting about N3,000 while falsely claiming to act on behalf of the state government. The issuance of the cards will now be handled by the Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs.
