Gov Otti narrates how he escaped assassination attempt in Abuja

Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, recounted how he narrowly escaped an assassination attempt in July 2015 in Maitama, Abuja, when 12 gunmen came to kill him. He had left the scene shortly before their arrival, preventing his death, although two people were shot. The assassins believed he was still inside the building, but he had already left. Otti expressed gratitude to God for saving his life during a solemn assembly and covenant renewal service organized by the Abia State Government.
