Gov Oyebanji dissolves boards, terminates political appointments

Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, has approved the immediate dissolution of boards, commissions, and parastatals in the state, and terminated the appointments of political appointees including Special Assistants, Senior Special Assistants, and Technical Assistants. The move is part of winding down his first term ahead of his second-term inauguration scheduled for October 16, 2026. The dissolution does not affect statutory bodies such as the State Independent Electoral Commission, Civil Service Commission, House of Assembly Service Commission, and Judicial Service Commission, with some chairmen remaining in office.
