Government failing Farage over security, says Jenrick

Reform UK's Treasury spokesman Robert Jenrick has accused the government of a 'dereliction of duty' over Nigel Farage's security, after his publicly-funded security was cut by 75% in September last year. Reform UK turned down an offer of government-funded security they deemed insufficient. The alleged murder of Reform's Ann Widdecombe, now investigated by counterterrorism police, has renewed debate on politician security. Farage is set to meet the Home Office after Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood offered a meeting.
