Govt issues fresh warning over Bauchi-Damaturu-Maiduguri federal highway

Yobe State Emergency Management Agency (YOSEMA) issued a warning after a section of the Bauchi-Damaturu-Maiduguri federal highway was washed away near Darazo, making the route impassable. Photos show the road completely cut into two with floodwaters flowing underneath, forcing motorists to halt. The agency advised travelers on the Bauchi-Yobe-Maiduguri corridor and from Kano to Gombe to exercise extreme caution, suspend journeys if possible, and await updates on alternative routes.
