Grand Médine: Suspect Referred to Prosecutor for Attempted Murder After Violent Assault

The Parcelles Assainies district police station referred a suspect to the prosecutor on October 21, 2026, in connection with an attempted murder in Grand Médine. During a violent altercation around 5 a.m. on the night of October 11–12, he allegedly wounded the victim in the chest with a broken bottle before fleeing to a village. Arrested a week later near Unité 25 in Parcelles Assainies, he admitted to the assault during questioning. After three days in hospital, the victim filed a complaint accompanied by his father; the suspect was held in police custody and presented to the prosecutor.
