Grand-Yoff: a mechanic seriously injured after machete and bottle shard attack

On September 5, a 26-year-old mechanic, A. Konaté, was seriously injured in the Léona neighborhood of Grand-Yoff after receiving two machete blows and several injuries from bottle shards. The alleged attacker, A. Maréna, nicknamed 'Borom Darou', was apprehended after several days of searches and admitted to reacting to insults from the victim. After 48 hours of hospitalization, Konaté's health is now stable, while Maréna is in custody for attempted murder.
