Grealish dropped for Everton’s League Cup tie after disciplinary breach

Jack Grealish was dropped from Everton’s League Cup fourth-round match against Newcastle on Thursday after a breach of club discipline, reportedly an unauthorised absence from training. The 31-year-old, on a second season-long loan from Manchester City, missed Everton’s 2-0 Premier League defeat to Arsenal on Saturday through illness. Everton are playing Newcastle for a place in the quarter-finals, with Fleetwood awaiting the winner after their surprise victory over Arsenal.
