Gruesome murder: Karamo Cissé Ndiaye identified as the man who killed Aminata Sy and gouged out her eyes

Aminata Sy, a 17-year-old student in her final year at Podor high school, was found dead in the Lao Demba neighborhood after being reported missing. Her body and shoes were inside a rice sack; she had been tied up and had neck wounds suggesting her throat had been cut. Investigators identified 35-year-old Karamo Cissé Ndiaye, also known as Abdou Karim Ndiaye, as the suspect; he is on the run and the subject of a nationwide wanted notice, and some of Aminata’s belongings were found in his room. Neighbors told investigators that he had been close to Aminata and had asked to marry her, but her parents rejected the proposal.
