Expulsions in Africa: the Trump administration has solicited 49 countries since May 2025

Washington has solicited 49 of the 54 African countries to host individuals expelled from the United States, according to an investigation revealed by Forbidden Stories. Ghana, Rwanda, Eswatini, Cameroon, South Sudan, and Equatorial Guinea have already received migrants. The Office of Remigration, established in May 2025, oversees these negotiations, led by Christian Ehrhardt. A total of $410 million has been promised for agreements with 31 countries, and at least 25,447 people have been expelled to third countries.
