Guinea: “Tell the truth,” Naby Keita’s camp attacks coach Paulo Duarte

Naby Keita was left out of Paulo Duarte’s squad for Guinea’s matches against Eritrea on November 12 and 16, prompting his adviser, Thierno Amadou Makadji, to challenge the coach’s account. Duarte said he had contacted several players, including Keita, but received no response. Makadji claims Keita had been selected and received his ticket before being removed from the squad at the last minute, accusing Duarte of withholding the full story. He cited Keita’s efforts to play at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations and said the coach had no grounds to question his patriotism.
