Gumi took my Moroccan wife from me, says Kaduna businessman

A Kaduna-based businessman, Nasir Musa Idris, has accused prominent Islamic scholar Sheikh Ahmad Gumi of taking custody of his Moroccan wife, Khadija Diab, after he took her to Gumi for counseling. Idris claims he has been unable to retrieve his wife since September 2025, despite repeated attempts. He also reported that Gumi did not honor an invitation from authorities to answer questions regarding the matter.
