Gunfire attack at PDP consultation in Calabar deeply disturbing, unacceptable - IPAC

The Cross River State Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) condemned the gunfire attack on Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) members in Calabar, describing it as deeply disturbing and unacceptable. IPAC Chairman Effiom Edet Okon emphasized that political consultations are not warfare and called for restraint among political actors. The police confirmed the incident, increased their presence in the area, and initiated investigations after supporters and bystanders were injured and vehicles damaged during the chaos.
