Gunmen abduct two travelers along Idi Ayunre–Ijebu Ode road in Oyo

Yesterday, armed gunmen abducted two individuals at the Idi Ayunre axis of the Ijebu Ode Road in Oluyole Local Government Area of Oyo State. This incident occurred just five days after the abduction of students and teachers in Oriire Local Government Area, raising concerns about the worsening security situation in the area. The assailants ambushed the victims while they were traveling towards Ijebu Ode, firing shots to scare off passers-by before forcibly taking them away to an unknown location.
