Gunmen ambush, kill district head in Plateau

Gunmen killed the District Head of Gwande, Saf Samuel Alaket, in an ambush along the Sha District axis bordering Daffo community in Plateau State, Nigeria. The attack occurred around 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday as he was returning home after activities at the popular Tuesday market in Daffo. He sustained severe injuries and was rushed to a clinic but later died. The Bokkos Traditional Council and residents are mourning, calling his death a painful loss.
