Gunmen kidnap dozens of students in Nigeria’s Borno State

Gunmen kidnapped several students from Mussa Primary and Junior Secondary School in Askira-Uba Local Government Area, Nigeria, during class hours. The attackers, suspected to be from Boko Haram, arrived on motorcycles and took many students, despite some escaping. Such kidnappings have become common in the country, which has been battling an armed rebellion for 17 years.
