Gunmen kill farmer and injure pastor in Plateau State community

Gunmen suspected of belonging to Fulani militias attacked a farm on Wednesday in Lamor, Pushit District, in Nigeria’s Mangu Local Government Area. Steven Bala, a 36-year-old farmer, was killed, while Pastor Apollos Charly was seriously injured as he escaped; 57-year-old Danbaba Libet is missing. Community youth leader Bulus Nehemiah said recent attacks have kept residents from their farms during the harvest season. Community leader John Sabo condemned the attack and called on security forces to protect residents and bring those responsible to justice.
