Gunmen kill vigilante in fresh Plateau attack

A vigilante member was killed in an attack on Wereng-Rim community in Riyom Local Government Area of Plateau State. The victim, Mangai Musa, 43, was shot dead by unknown gunmen on the night of Tuesday, July 14, 2026. The attack caused panic among residents. The Berom Youth Moulders Association confirmed the incident and said circumstances are under investigation.
