Gusau’s legacy: Four years of failure and a resignation too late

Ibrahim Gusau resigned as President of the Nigeria Football Federation after four years marked by significant failures, including the Super Eagles' failure to qualify for the 2026 World Cup and the Super Falcons' failure to qualify for the 2027 Women's World Cup. This latter defeat ended a streak of continuous participation since 1991.
