Zamfara youths chase deputy governor during visit to bandit attack victims

Youths in Gwashi, in Zamfara State’s Bukkuyum Local Government Area, reportedly chased Deputy Governor Mani Malam Mummuni and his entourage during a visit to victims of bandit attacks. The visit was intended to express sympathy and provide assistance to affected residents. Security analyst Bakatsine said the youths protested persistent attacks in Gwashi and neighbouring communities. Some of the deputy governor’s security personnel reportedly fled as tensions escalated, leaving their vehicle behind.
