Pakistan summons Indian diplomat over border killing of two Pakistanis

Pakistan's Foreign Ministry summoned India's chargé d'affaires to protest the killing of two Pakistani civilians by Indian Border Security Force (BSF) personnel in the Bedian sector along the international border. Another person was wounded in the incident, which Pakistan described as an unprovoked and disproportionate use of lethal force against unarmed civilians. India has not issued an immediate comment, but security sources described the event as a foiled infiltration attempt. Pakistan rejected any characterization of the victims as infiltrators and called for a transparent investigation and disciplinary action.
