Haaland’s record scoring spree helps Man City to seventh Premier League win

Manchester City beat Ipswich Town 3-2 at home on Saturday, becoming only the third team to start a Premier League season with seven straight wins. Erling Haaland scored twice to take his season tally to eight goals. The victory came amid a financial scandal that threatens the club’s place in England’s top flight; City denies wrongdoing and has appealed the verdict. Supporters waved inflatable bananas, reviving a 1980s tradition, and jeered the Premier League anthem.
