Haiti: American Missionary Suspected of Child Abuse

American missionary Edward Thomas Osbeck, who runs an orphanage in Morne Rouge, Haiti, has been taken into custody following allegations of child abuse. Haitian police found he lacked the necessary permits to operate the orphanage and discovered explicit messages sent to children on his phone. Twelve children, including eleven girls aged 7 to 17, underwent medical examinations. Osbeck was also arrested by U.S. authorities.
