Haitian gangs release 13 captives after mass kidnapping in Kenscoff

The United Nations announced the release of six children and seven women kidnapped last week in Kenscoff, Haiti. This release comes after an attack on August 23 by around 150 armed gang members, resulting in at least 47 deaths and over 50 kidnappings. The violence in Kenscoff also led to the displacement of 2,647 residents seeking safety in neighboring communities.
