Haut-Uele: ADF advance displaces over 10,000 civilians toward Watsa and Wamba

More than 10,000 people have fled their homes toward Watsa and Wamba in Haut-Uele to escape the advance of Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) rebels. Hunted in Ituri, these fighters are trying to establish new sanctuaries in Haut-Uele's forests, taking advantage of the weak deployment of FARDC. A major attack targeted Mungbere, and the ADF are reported to have a stronghold at Suka ya Mboka. Displaced people are converging on Gombari, Watsa-Centre, Moku, and Giro, in total destitution.
