« He has a love for money »: The prosecutor heavily charges Samuel Sarr

The public prosecutor accused Samuel Sarr of failing to justify the use of 2 billion FCFA in a dispute with Cheikh Amadou Amar. He also questioned the existence of a valid mandate to recover a debt of nearly 8 billion FCFA. The prosecution requested a reclassification of the charges to fraud and sought a six-month prison sentence along with a fine of one million FCFA. The case will be deliberated on July 9, 2026.
