He threatens us with gun- Wife reveals as police recover firearm, ammunition from husband

The wife of Edet George, a resident of Ikot Akpan Afaha in Akwa Ibom State, stated that her husband threatens her and the entire family with a single-barrel gun at any slight provocation. Police arrested the suspect after credible intelligence and recovered a single-barrel gun and eight live cartridges concealed in his residence. The wife confirmed that the suspect frequently used the firearm to intimidate and threaten his family and the community. Commissioner of Police Mohammed Azare reiterated commitment to combating illegal firearms.
