Health crisis looming as Gaza heads towards rainy season, warns WHO

The World Health Organization (WHO) warned that the approach of winter and cold rains will worsen an already severe health crisis in the Gaza Strip. Recent water tests indicated a deterioration in quality, with microbiological contamination nearly tripling since January. Cases of acute diarrhea have also doubled, rising from around 27,000 to over 48,000 since March. The WHO calls for unimpeded humanitarian access to prevent a health disaster.
