On October 1, 2026, Cameroon and the United States signed a strategic agreement in Yaoundé to support a program worth nearly 850 million dollars (about 510 billion FCFA) to improve the health system until 2030. The US will contribute approximately 400 million dollars (240 billion FCFA), while Cameroon will mobilize up to 450 million dollars (270 billion FCFA) as co-investment. This partnership, established at the end of 2025, aims to provide a financial framework for health projects from 2026 to 2030.
