HELB Issues Notice to Employers Ahead of August Loan Remittance Deadline

The Higher Education Loans Board (HELB) has reminded employers to remit employee loan deductions by August 15. Employers must upload their remittance list on the HELB Employer Portal before making payment. A Ksh3,000 penalty applies to each employee whose outstanding loan is not declared or whose required deductions are not remitted on time.
