High petrol price: NNPC to boost gas supply to CNG operators

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd) announced it is increasing gas supply to operators in the Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) value chain to mitigate the impact of high petrol prices. Olalekan Ogunleye, Executive Vice President of NNPC Ltd, stated that the Gas Master Plan, launched on January 30, 2026, has already recorded about 791 million standard cubic feet (scf) of incremental gas supply. NNPC is also enforcing domestic gas delivery obligations to ensure that investors in CNG stations and gas-based projects can access the necessary gas for their operations.
