Holidays in Benin: Teens Leave Books to Learn a Trade

In Cotonou, teenagers are opting to train in hairdressing, sewing, and computer skills during their holidays. Tobi, 18, started a hairdressing course that allows her to become financially independent. Her father, initially against such initiatives, changed his mind after observing graduates turning to vocational training to avoid unemployment. Béni, another young person, also chose to learn hairdressing after completing a computer training last year.
