Homa Bay County Commissioner’s Residence Upgraded to State Lodge

Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen has declared the Homa Bay County Commissioner's residence a State Lodge, effective May 15, 2026. This declaration officially designates the facility for state functions. The commissioner is now required to vacate the premises to allow the president and high-ranking officials exclusive access during regional tours. This State Lodge adds to the two others already established in the Nyanza region.
