UK PM Burnham says Iran likely behind RAF base incident: Is there evidence? | Military News | Al Jazeera

UK Prime Minister Andy Burnham stated that UK security services have strong indications of Iranian involvement in an incident near the RAF base at Fairford, where five British men were arrested and later released on bail. The suspects, in their early 20s, were suspected of terrorism and explosives offenses, but no explosives were found during the investigation. Iran has denied any involvement, with Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi saying British authorities are mistaken. Burnham suggested the incident might be connected to Iranian activities, including the use of the base by the US for operations against Iran.
