How Adeboye Ordered the Return of Billions Traced to RCCG Within 24 Hours, EFCC Boss Says

EFCC Chairman Ola Olukoyede says Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye ordered RCCG officials to return within 24 hours billions of naira traced to church projects from a person under investigation for alleged financial crimes. Olukoyede said the money was returned to government coffers after he briefed Adeboye on the investigation. Speaking at Redemption City in Ogun State, he praised Adeboye’s integrity and criticized an unnamed megachurch for allegedly defending a fraudulent investment scheme. He also recounted authorizing the detention of a senior RCCG pastor over alleged financial crimes at the pastor’s secular workplace.
