How AI apps are offering free substitutes for Big Tech software

American developer Brandon Thomas created a project called ArtCraft, a free rebuild of Adobe Creative Suite including PhotoCraft and PdfCraft, using AI and Rust. He also released free copies of the Microsoft Office suite, named WordCraft, DeckCraft, and GridCraft. These software alternatives, normally costing hundreds of dollars annually, are now available worldwide, challenging the dominance of paid Big Tech software.
