How Artworks from Africa Painted the Continent Across 11 Russian Cities

Africa Centrum presented works by nearly 30 artists from 18 African countries on digital screens and media façades in 11 Russian cities, alongside the third Russia–Africa Summit and the Russia–Africa Economic and Humanitarian Forum. Selected by Igo Diarra and Daria Vanyukova, the works explored themes including cultural memory, urban life and identity. Meetings in Moscow on October 28 and 29 brought together artists and cultural professionals, including Congolese photographer Baudouin Mouanda and Malian artist Daou Bakary Emmanuel. Africa Centrum plans to continue the project with Russian artists and is considering joint exhibitions in Brazzaville and St. Petersburg.
